snuggle

It was a cold old afternoon in Melbourne today. We were expecting visitors, but not until the mid-afternoon, so this morning we mooched along at our own pace, each occupied with whatever our hearts' desired.

Lily was pottering with some colouring, a few little chores and of course, some weekend TV time.

I made a yummy craisin and oat slice, made the house semi-presentable for company, but mostly, I sat with my project d'amour...

Tonight, Lily's granny blanket is finished.

and she loves it :)

Oh so cool! She'll be all snuggly under that for the rest of her life knowing that her mum made it for her. Great work mum!

It looks fantastic, you've done such a good job, and so quickly too.

I think you should give yourself a big pat on the back and a reward of some new yarn!!

We had the same sort of morning (and afternoon too!). Aren't they great!

The blankie looks fantastic, and Lily looks oh so snuggly underneath it! Wonderful.

That is completely gorgeous! You've totally inspired me to finally learn to crochet once and for all (beyond the bits I know to do edgings on my knitting projects).

Loverly! I'm so smitten with grannies these days. I'm living vicariously through other people's blankets until I have time to make one! Did you just whip-stitch them together? I'm curious about how people join their squares...

So gorgeous - I've always edged mine with black, but the white is waaaaay prettier!

Your blanket looks gorgeous! Well done. I'm sure she'll treasure it. I almost finished a rug for my middle daughter this weekend. Now all that's left is to darn in all the zillions of little ends.
