So if you've been following the blogs lately, it seems as if everyone is taking trips to Sleeveland at the moment! It started here, I think, then quickly spread to here and here. Who knows where this might end??
I myself should have been in Sleeveland - my Untangled Yoke has barely crossed the halfway mark and Bendigo is around the corner.
However, I felt the call from a single skein of pretty handpainted merino from Wired 4 Fibre, and a simple pattern...
The LaLa Simple Shawl is perfect - you can just cast on and knit til you run out of wool! Plus the simplicity of the pattern allows both plenty of relaxing unfocused knitting time, plus doesn't compete with the multi-coloured loveliness of the wool.
now, of course, I will need to renew my visa before my trip to Sleeveland, but I think the detour was worth it!

Oh it is simply gorgeous, must go and favourite it right now. I should be on sleeve island too but have become a little sidetracked with other things.
Most amusing!! Love the colours in your very cute shawl!!
Oh, I'd happily leave Sleeveland for a quick trip to LaLaScarf Heights! Love it!
I wish I'd been able to meet up with you in Sleeveland. You'd have been most welcome. Get a move on though. My Coraline is done and she wants to hang with your Untangled Yoke over a bottle of wine dammit!
Triangular scarf + mindless knitting - fabulous! It looks great! So does your tangled yoke - can't wait to see it complete!
Such a wonderful detour on the way to Sleeveland. Lovely soft colours. Sure to be a joy to wear!

LaLaScarf heights indeed. it looks so much more interesting than boring sleeveland. however, it look like you are stuck in Backville, even worse....(and yes, think of bendi)!
Lovely knit as always !
Not long now till Bendy and the Hustler posse....wheeeee
Love the title of your post! I'm in LaLaScarf Heights till I go to the cliffs of hemline... okay, that is so not working... love the shawl though!
Thinking of that famous REM knitting song - Don't go back to Backville.
The journey from sleeveland and it's detour through Lalascarf heights was completely worth it, those colours are gorgeous!
I may even have to visit sleeveland myself before Bendigo.
Visiting sleeveland isn't so bad, as when you leave it is even better. Pretty shawl, lovely colours.
