whambamthankyoumaam

I took a trip into Record City today, and reminded myself why I love this store and all who sail in her.

but first we must go back to the beginning...

While I was up at meet me at mikes on the weekend, dropping off some little bits for the book (btw, saw a couple of proofs - looks amazing!), Cameron slipped some vinyl on the turntable, and it took me back.

Ever since, I have been singing away in my head, and I knew I had to get myself a copy. (I was actually surprised to realise I did not have a copy)

Now funds of late have been, shall we say, a little scarce, so brand-spankin' new was not really an option. I went to Record City, where I have never been disappointed. The staff are always on for a good chat about music, and one never knows what will be playing. (today: Beatles. classic).

For the grand sum of $12.50, I walked out with this:

Ah, Mr Bowie, you are so fine.

Let all who may encounter me for the next week be warned: it will be the week of Bowie; at the house, in the car, on the MP3, during gym workouts, and I may spontaneously slip into song without
warning.

Just leave me here - I'm ever so happy :)

oh, yes; I also finished my Honeycomb vest.

more to come later, can't talk: Bowie-time...

Oh yeah! Love this album! Vest looks great too - checked it out on Rav (couldn't wait!) - can't believe you knit it on 3.25mm sticks!

You are so good, Ms Kylie. It's really been a pleasure working with you on your project - and do excuse our crazy shop Sunday - it was so great to see you and talk about stuff that made COMPLETE SENSE to us both in such a lovely way! Thanks for being so good at what you do.

The vest looks great from the sneak peek, the green's great!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who watches the same movie over and over, it does look like we're in the minority on that one...

I've now got ch ch ch ch changes stuck in my head. Not a bad thing at all, but I should listen to is soon before it starts to drive me mad!
