shrug

I got to figuring that maybe if I thought Lily might be cold at our friends up-coming wedding and need a shrug, well then, maybe I might be cold and need my own shrug!

My version is from Erika Knight's book, Glamour. I've knit it in Cleckheaton Bamboo, which is lovely and silky (and slippery).

I have my doubts as to how warm it will keep me, but I'll look good.

There were a few dilemmas in finding a dress
(never put your trust in overseas shipping, is all I'm saying), but my gorgeous sister-in-law came through with a choice of two of her dresses.

This was the winner

It's swingy and sassy and fits like a (tight) glove!

I just love the detail on this dress - hidden in among those flowers is an embroidered skull - love it

and I'm seriously in love with my shoes.

Va va VOOM. Ya look great, doll. Hope you have a great time at the wedding with you and your family. And didja catch the bouquet? Or just break a few hearts?

I'm in love with those shoes of yours too... though I'd never be able to pull them off like you you. And that adorable and flirty shrug... there seems no end to your talents with both wardrobe fashioning and knitting.

What is it about girls and weddings! I went to a wedding on Saturday and damn if I didn't also insist on a new dress and new shoes and gees... new jewels - and it wasn't even my wedding.

You look fabulous.

Not only are the heels awesome, how cool are those stockings? Very.

I'm glad to see someone else getting "dressed up". Last wedding I went to people were wearing jeans!

PS. If you are going to be fascinated by something, I think it is better that it is zig zags than say, like, kitty litter or something! Because they are all cool, especially the second one!
