and it was good.
From to LH, clockwise: BWM Lux 10ply (2x top up balls for already purchased stash); Mayhem & Chaos sock yarn (prize for my Marlene's @ the Ravelry breakfast - as opposed to the Revelry dinner the night prior!!); 2x skeins of Ixchel cashmere merino laceweight - Zen and Mossy Forest; Stranded in Oz merino single laceweight (hello!) in Jitterbug Perfume {more on my kismet moment, and mutual hero-worship between Melissa and myself another time!}; some gorgeous baby alpaca in "Splat" from Donyale; ms gusseting's chubby sock in crazy Violet Town colours; a delicious skein of Colinette Jitterbug, and some of Shiloh's new Silky Dream - merino and thai silk, divine!
Onto other goodies, I picked up a copy of Norah Gaughan vol.5, mainly for Potter, I must admit, but upon closer inspection there's a few things in there that piqued my interest.
There was also lots of BUTTONS at the Show this year - fabulous, wonderful buttons! I think I showed remarkably restraint, really...
(oh, in case anyone was wondering, I didn't get my second armwarmer finished, but, hey...) I went proudly along with my single armwarmer and no-one thought to comment anything but positively :)
finishing is so over-rated.

perhaps your single arm warmer was a tribute to MJ??? he he
Oh the wool, the pattern, The Buttons!! Bells made me laugh with her MJ reference!!!
ha, we joked about that at dinner Friday night! I maintain it was a deliberate move on my behalf to honor his memory ;)
Oh wasn't it fun!
Even though it was just a quickie for us I was so glad to come...I'm hopeless at blogging knitty stuff atm but you've inspired me to blog my prettys in the next day or so.
I've even almost finished a beanie for hubby from some gorgeous chocolate polwarth.
PS: Thanks for enabling me btw ;). Sure did pop that cherry and thought nothing of further purchases from thereon in lol.
We drove to Bendigo, the kid who never sleeps fell asleep in the car, and we waited and waited for him to wake up (taking turns to look in the second hand book shop). By the time he did wake up we figured it was too late to go to the show and had a play in the park instead, then a curry for dinner, before driving home again.
We ate lunch and read the paper in the car. It was great, really.
Will have to post my yarny scores, yours look fabulous! Noticed the wool/Thai silk!! I've finished the back and am halfway up the first front piece!
And lo, it was good.
Jea-LOUS.
droooool
Oh, I'm so jealous!! Sounds like you had a ball :)
T'was a pleasure meeting your fine self again - we must make it an annual event. Thanks for re-housing 'splat' too.
Nice haul! I must have been walking around with my eyes closed as I only saw one little bowl in an outside stall. That, or I was just too late to the party!
"...that piqued my interest."...a mighty nice state to be in that... curiosity & interest simulated. Sounds like you had a suitably great time.
Look at that lovely stash...mmmm nice choices! So good to meet you!! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
