our sweet little piggle, Lucy, developed a nasty lump on her jawbone this week.
a trip to the vet diagnosed a tooth root abscess.
Does anyone else hear those words and immediately start re-arranging the finances? Dentistry, animal or human, is never a cheap exercise.
$400 later, Miss Lucy is home recuperating and doing well. She's eating and moving about, but it's seriously jeopardised my wool budget (and my trip to Bendigo Sheep & Wool show), let me tell you!

ouch! who'd have though something so little and indeed super cute would be so high maintenance!
A trip to the vet last week diagnosed my kitty with a hyperthyroid condition - I feel your pain! (I have to choose between surgery, or medication for the rest of his life - either way it's expensive!) They are worth it though, aren't they? Hope your piggie is feeling okay!

Poor little piggle. Glad it wasn't anything more serious, but bummer about the vet bill. Hope you can still make Bendi!

Lucy! Such a honey... yes, she is very cute. Glad she is doing okay... and shall send that extra wool I mentioned to you to make up for any gaps. Can't have those needles resting idle.
