Society ribbons!

Red Hill Show weekend has just been, and I did very nicely with my entries this year, I have to say!

4 out 5 articles placed this year, which I was very pleased about.

A First for both my Tea Cosy and Baby booties...

a Second for my Flower baby hat...which was awesome, as I just put it in as a last minute entry!

and a Third for my alpaca shawl...

This was the first time I'd entered in the Alpaca category, and I really wasn't sure what to expect as far as the other entries.  Needless to say, I should have realised - lots of un-dyed colours to show off the fibre's natural beauty. I was pleased that my bright turquoise entry even got a look in!

I've had a couple of years off from entering items in the country shows, what with other commitments and such taking over, and deadlines slipping passed, but after this year I have realised just how very much I love it so I have marked future deadlines in calendars, made ideas lists for potential entries, and am all geared up for the next show!
