Show bags

So the Red Hill Show has come and gone - phew!

After 37`C on the Friday, the weather turned to thunderstorms over night, and we faced inclement weather all day Saturday! Only a few showers actually broke through during our time there, however, and it by no means spoilt our day! In fact, we even got to pull the winter woollies out of storage (yay!). Sunrise Circle Jacket got it's first public outing - I'm still in love with it!

I showed a lot of restraint when we arrived, looking at all the things Babygirl was keen to see (ponies, mainly!) then what Beloved wanted to see (woodchop, dogs). Finally, I could stand it no longer...

"oh, guys, look - THE CRAFT SHED!!!!"

My tea cosy got a first, and 2nd place for my booties :)

Tickled pink to get placed in my first attempt - already planning next years entries!!
Susan's work was also very well rewarded - check out her funky sheep!

I also managed to find wool to buy (naturally!) when we found Caroline Taylor, Benambra Blue. I got some heavy-weight 12ply for a hat for myself in Mountain colourway and a skein of 8ply in purples and greens for *something*?! Merino + silk blend, should make some lovely soft hats.

I think I've got the show bug! Hmm, so , when do Royal Melbourne Show entries open?!

Schedules available in April - I've already checked it out! This could be addictive.

CONGRATULATIONS! You must be so excited. We're planning on being home by September, so I might just have to make a trip to the Royal Melbourne Show and check out the craft exhibit!
