I cast off the second of the Elven socks this evening. It seems third time's the charm...
Pretty happy with the result, the only tiny disappointment being that the pattern called for seven and a half repeats of the lace, which would have made the sock too long for my foot. I did six and a half repeats, and they are a tiny bit too short. Unfortunately due to the way the leaves "fall" into the star toe-shaping, you sort of can't do just seven repeats and still get the nice organic flow.
I am sure they will block out to fit perfectly, though!

Gorgeous, gorgeous socks! (And a nice photo, too).
Oooh, they look gorgeous - definitely worth all the trial and error!
Congratulations! Love the pic too - fairy lights very appropriate!
Cute photo.
I'm discovering that blocking can indeed do wonders, so I'm sure you'll sort out that pesky half-a-repeat too short thing.
very nice indeed
