I'm back!

Well, who would have thought I could go that long without my computer and the wide world of web!

I'm almost back to speed thanks to a very helpful brother of my dearest man - new hard drive, new software, a girl hardly knows herself! I still haven't got sound back, something to do with network drivers or some such stuff - but at least I'm in the loop again.

I can't tell you how much I have missed logging into see what you've all been up to. Many a time over the last few weeks I've caught myself wondering what was happening with a certain pair of socks, or how someone's ill dog was doing, and countless other things. It's made me fully understand how much of a community we're all tapped into, and how great that is to have in one's realm. Thanks for all the kind thoughts, too, in the comments and the emails.

On the silver-lining side of the hard drive crash, I have managed to get a fair bit of knitting done!

My sister in law had her second baby last week, another girl, and Miss A. was the recipient of this little crossover cardi:

The Phildar Swing Jacket still languishes in the basket. I am going to put in a big effort to finish it this week, however, and then it will be posted for you all to decide should it stay or should it go (now).

I bought some Kidsilk Crack, I mean, Haze, to see what the fuss was about. Oh, yeah, I get it.

The colour is Meadow, which should be just perfect for this, which is going on the (never-ending) list. I've blogged about it before, I know, but it's just so lovely!
My aunt's Monkey socks are also almost done - I'll post pictures next time.
It's good to be back!

Welcome back to blogland.
All that feeling disconnected must've been very frustrating.
Nice cardi...clementine's?

one from the good old Family Circle, actually, Carson! I don't know the clementine's one you speak of? Thanks for the welcome back, too

Great to have you back! I can't wait to see how the Kidsilk Haze knits up. I've never used it but always look at it longingly at my LYS!
