Rufus was in fine form last night, putting on a truly spectacular show.

He had the audience in the palm of his hand, from the minute he stepped out in an eye-searing lime green suit and opened his mouth. Part sensitive Boy, part burlesque, a little history and heritage, all thrown together made for a great night's entertainment.

and I do appreciate a well-dressed crowd! Beautiful, individual and stylish seemed to be the order of the night, and it made for a great people-watching session, standing on the concourse of St Kilda Rd before we went in. Almost as much fun as the performance inside!

you saw Rufus? Oh my. He's not come anywhere near me and I am bitter. I had to make do with seeing him on the 7:30 Report. I love Rufus. I'm so glad you had a great time.

Damn. I wish I had money for this at the time. Hamer Hall is such an awesome venue — I've seen Tori Amos and Elvis Costello there, and they both sounded incredible.

oh you are a rufus follower as well. i can't believe it. went to gigs three times. and one time i went to 'stalk' him after a gig where he had supported keane. he was probably pretty amazed by some middle aged woman standing alone in the snow with nothing else to say but i love your hat.
his reply: thank you it is from austria. silly silly me.
nick cave and the bad seeds will come here in february. i don't know if i will be able to get a ticket because i work when they go on sale. but i am in love with nick and mick harvey and very much with warren ellis.

Rufus! Oh Rufus! A was planning to go with a friend, but she had to go to Buddhist Bootcamp instead and so my plan never really got off the ground. Sounds like he was sensational!
