I got in trouble from one of my best friends because apparently I'm not updating my blog often enough for her liking.

Or in her words,

"I checked your blog and NOTHING! You're unemployed, b*#@h, get on with it!"

so I guess I better get on with it!

I've just got back from visiting with my cousin's brand new baby GIRL (should never doubt myself!)

Miss Adelaide Alice, who is adorable.

and over 7 pounds! What the?! seems even though she's a bit early, she was a good feeder. She didn't end up being as early as expected, but even so. So I told my cousin to donate the little cardigans to the hospital for someone else, and I'll get cracking and make some bigger ones for her.

On the knitting front, I am having a go at finishing all my UFO's at the moment - novel, I know!!

Firstly, my Pi shawl.

This was put on snooze because I had misplaced my copy of Knitters' Almanac, and couldn't remember how to do Gull Stitch without it, which is how I edged the shawl. In an unemployed cleaning frenzy I cleared out my bookcase and lo and behold! The fairies must have hidden it in plain sight all along ;)

I'm happy with the results, but I probably would have made it bigger if time could be had over? At it's current size, it would make a lovely baby shawl, though...

My Honeycomb vest is coming along - I'm half way up the front, and since most of the front is cut out with the neckline, I figure I'm on the home straight! So it's next to be finished...

We have a birthday party to go to this afternoon, so I have also been sewing.

A little shoulder bag and matching purse in strawberries and apples.

I almost kept this one for myself!

The edging on your shawl is perfect, I love the colour against the paler grey. Very nice sewing too!!

Don't you love it when your friends keep you in line? Heh.

Pink + grey = great combo. Lovely!

Congrats to your cousin on the birth of Adelaide...did you gift her Speckle, too, or shall that be saved for a boy baby along the way? It's such a cute vestie.

Adelaide Alice - what a great name! (She just needs a brother - or sister - Darwin to complete the North-South crossing of Australia!)

Love your knitting! The finishing stuff is good, although I have to say as someone who is also trying to clear out some WIPS, slightly tedious at times.

So cute baby stuff - I would have killed someone to get my hands on something that small when I had my little girl - she swam in everything - especially 0000

Congrats on the book - well done!
