We're heading away to the country this weekend for a series of birthday visits and parties.
I finished the first-birthday-girls' dress in record time - 24hrs from cast on to cast off (and yes, I did sleep! I didn't manage to do washing/vacuuming/dusting/cooking, but hey, if I have to make that sacrifice, I will!)
I am so happy with the results. This is a great pattern, and the Patons Smoothie has knitted up beautifully.
Miss Adelaide will finally receive her cardigan - poor babe has waited a while, but it's really for next year, so she hasn't missed any wear. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
and my beautiful little friend, Scarlet, who has the luck of being born on Halloween - how cool is her 21st going to be?! - is turning 5 this year!
FIVE
I remember holding her as a tiny premmie, and that was only last week? There must be pixies and sprites at work here...
These three beautiful little girls (and their darling sisters - I do seem to collect girls!) are as close to my heart as my own flesh and I'm so pleased to be part of their lives.

Kylie it's perfect. How utterly adorable! Love the flower, and the fact that you neglected housework and got it done in 24 hours. I bow down.

Washing, vacuuming, dusting, cooking, bah! It's all about priorities, in my world there is no greater priotiry than Knitting, especially when you're making something as cute as that!
