five sleeps

the gifts are wrapped and under the tree (well, almost all - still waiting for Santa to make his drop!)

This year's theme is red & blue, with strong haberdashery influences.

Simple paper bags, a serendipitous find of red polka dot paper and a selection of ric rac & ribbon in the appointed colours, along with some aqua/blue and red tissue paper...

This year, as I do every year, I looked at the abundance of wrapped gifts under our tree and thought to myself; "That's how many people we love - aren't we lucky?"

I consider us blessed ;)

and a quick trip into a shopping precinct today yielded this pretty fragrant posy to adorn our table.

All I can smell is mint and roses - it's divine!

oh aren't you good - with a cold and all, still managing to keep on top of the Christmas cheer. Good for you! I'll raise a glass to us feeling better pronto, huh? Yes, I'm having a glass of wine anyway. I refuse to be beaten!

Hope your cold is better soon. I love your paper bags, what a clever idea. I might have some in the hall I could use too. Thanks!!

Such festive cheer... and who doesn't go weak at the knees at the sight of a posy?

Wishing you a wonderful Christmas with your nearest and sweetest cuddlepies. And, here's to a super and brilliant 2009!

That all looks so fantastic. I was looking at our well-stocked tree on the weekend and thinking how blessed we are, too.

Ah, sad to be leaving Bateman's Bay!
