ishbel, sweet ishbel
ah, dear sweet Ishbel.
You have been my monogamous knitting project, these past 7 weeks. We've had some good times, some bad (but tell the truth - it was my fault, no...really. It was, dear thing)
Now you are complete; you've had a bath and a stretch, and have come to life.
You are off my needles, and suddenly...I feel bereft.
Forlorn, and missing the comfort a few rows of you provided.
Sweetest Ishbel. I'm so looking forward to reuniting with you once the climate accommodates us.
I think I'll console myself with some socks...

Even if we see that Ysolda's project often, it's always with the same idea in mind when I look at a new one: I must knit one! ...And I love the colour of yours. Congratulation!
Oh she is beautiful!! No wonder you will miss her. Some socks should fill the gap nicely!!
it's gorgeous! totally need to queue this myself...
your ishbel is gorgeous and delicous I want another now
stunning. colour and knitting.
Never fear, you may be reunited sooner than you think with this fickle Melbourne weather.
Ooooh pretty!
oh i've felt bereft like that before. It's an ache! And I can see why. It's beautiful. Well done!
Oh that's pretty! And that's about all I have to say, really...
Beautiful! Such an incredibly scrummy colour! Makes me want to cast on for another one right now...
What a delish colour. Beautifully executed. Now I am not a shawl kinda girl. But I think this luscious red banishes every last bit of 'granny'.
Ah yes. 39 was a good year. Come to think of it 49 was a pretty good year too.
As you are aging with style girl, you'll surely be a Fabulous Forty. But don't rush it. It is a year off yet.
Fantastic ode. Ishbel looks great!
well that is just lovely, unlike my one which is now looking a lot like a rewound ball. i hate that pattern on the paper, but gee it knits up nice when clever people get it right! fantastic colour too.
It's just lovely (but of course!) - and not just because it's red (I think? colours can be deceptive on the computer hey!). I felt a bit the same after my Ishbel was finished too - it was such a lovely succesful knit.
But socks are a lovely consolation!!
i love ishbel too...
