icarus shawl, finally complete and blocked

Just one more note tonight...

Here's my version of "Icarus", the beautiful lace shawl featured in Interweave Knits Summer 2006.

Yes, I ran out of wool, and had to do a border in a contrast yarn. Thanks to Marta, from Marta's Yarns Wool Shop in Melburne, for her suggestion on the substitute wool - it worked out to be a great compliment to the original, don't you think?

and yes, that's my Babygirl wearing her shawl. Isn't she gorgeous?!
