mermaid tails...

my Show-off Stranded socks (using the 2nd shipment from my personal sock club) are finished.

Using Wired for Fibre's "Rita", these were quickly claimed by Lily, because the looked like "mermaids' tails" - so sweet.

Their completion meant it must have been time for another shipment!

Also in Wired for Fibre "Rita", this shipment is "Kelp", which has been appropriately paired with Archiknist's "Seaweed Socks" pattern.

These are toe-up, which I'm not that confident with (well, mainly the cast on and the heel - the rest I'm fine with!)

After a quick tutorial at our last local S'n'B, I think I have the hang of the cast on at least.

I love the waving strands of this pattern, which is basically a broken rib. It's showcasing the beautiful dye-work of this yarn off perfectly!

Both really great pairings of yarn and patterns - fabulous! Now I want my next shipment...but I guess I'll have to finish the second sock first...

Those swishy green socks are just gorgeous. And mermaid tails--you've got an oceanic theme going on, I love it.
